New Chevron Cars?

A lot of you - hundreds in fact - have been asking whether there will be new Chevron Cars this year and whether Chevron is planning to continue manufacturing new Chevron Cars. Some of you have even been wondering whether it makes sense to go on collecting Chevron Cars.

We are delighted to let you know that there will be new cars this year and next and Chevron remains committed to these popular and fun products collected by young and old alike.

In the fall of 2008 we expect a new series of sports Victor E. Vans. Some but not all of these cars will be available on the website. We apologize for the one or two Victor E. Vans that will not be available but this is due to contractual reasons we have no control over. Rest assured that most of the new sports Victor E. Vans will become available on the site, in limited quantities. We expect a new Breast Cancer Awareness car this fall as well.

For the holidays we are looking forward to a brand new Chevron Car, one of the best ever and one thousands of you have been requesting for years. Stay tuned, it will be fabulous.

Snowboard Challenge

Have you played Snowboard Challenge? This is the perfect game for the winter weather!

Join Brent Blizzard and Air Dog the snow-boarding dog on the slopes in this fun, free snowboarding game! Use your computer's mouse to control Air Dog's path as he swiftly slides down the icy mountain.

The best part is when Air Dog jumps off a ramp up into the air. When he's flying high, you can press different keyboard keys to perform tricks. You gain points every time you do a trick, and the longer you jump without crashing, the more points you receive for each jump. You also get more points for doing more tricks each time you're flying through the air.

Try to avoid the rocks and trees, otherwise you'll eat snow! How high is your score?

Chevron Cars over the Years

From a sparkling clean Sam Sedan to a cool and healthy Moe Muscle, Chevron has been releasing Chevron Cars since 1996. Can you believe that a whopping 20,000,000 cars have been sold? These cars have made it to many homes over the years, sparking tens of thousands of Chevron Cars collections. They have also inspired very many of you to write us with your innovative ideas and submit creative drawings of what you'd like to see in the future.

One of the special characteristics of these cars is that each one has a different and unique personality. Looking for some adventure? Take Freddy 4 Wheeler for a spin in the mud, or Brent Blizzard for a cool ride through the snow. Feeling a little hungry? Flag down Payton Pizza for a couple hot slices or Chandler Chip for a refreshing ice cream cone. If you need a ride to school, Sally Schoolbus has you covered, and Tyler Taxi would love to bring you over to your friend's home. Maria Minivan loves to take families around town, while Pete Pickup and Horace N Trailer will bring your furry friends along. Patty Patrol and Fuller Fire Truck are always doing their best to protect and serve the community.

In addition to the regular edition Chevron Cars, there have also been a few special edition cars that we've released over the years. Chevron created the Victor E Van series in 2007 so that you can show your spirit for your favorite university and a variety of sports. Chevron is also proud of beginning a Special Edition Chevron Car series in 2001 that is designed to raise awareness about breast cancer. Devotion, an energetic helper, recently joined the Chevron Cars family this fall to help inspire those around her.

Few fans can boast to have a complete collection with the rarest Chevron Car of all - the Gold Dusty. In 2000, Chevron produced only 1,000 of these cars as gifts to Chevron Executives and personnel and to Disney Executives at the re-opening of the Chevron-sponsored Autopia ride at Disneyland. Eric's Innovative Car Idea

Eric from Kansas City submitted an excellent Car Idea! He created Offroader the Explorer. Offroader criss-crosses the globe looking for new sources of fuel. He specializes in finding alternative fuels to power vehicles of all kinds. Offroader is a true pioneer!

As of 2006, there were over 250 million registered passenger vehicles in the United States. Of those, around 550,000 were alternative fuel vehicles. This means that only .2% of the passenger vehicles in the U.S. run on alternative fuels. We could really use Offroader's help finding fuels that decrease carbon emissions. Thank you Eric for creating such a noble and innovative car!

Introducing Spirit -- the New Breast Cancer Awareness Car!!

Every year since 2001, Chevron has produced a Special Edition Chevron Car to raise awareness about finding a cure for breast cancer. This year, we are proud to introduce you to Spirit, the 2008 edition and the newest car in this very special series.

Spirit is available now while supplies last in the ChevronCars.com Toy Store and at select Chevron retail stations. These special edition cars often sell out relatively quickly and they will not be produced again. As always, all net proceeds from the sale of this special edition toy car will be donated to help promote the early detection of breast cancer. You can find Spirit here.

This year's Breast Cancer Awareness Car Spirit has a great new design and style. She is a cool coupe with a pink color (of course!) and a darker pink ribbon design on the side with the 2008 date printed on the back. She has a lively nature, generous attitude, and is always ready to deliver an extra smile to anyone who needs it.

Victor E. Vans - What Do You Think?

As we approach the arrival of a new set of Victor E. Vans this fall, we thought we'd ask you what you think of these cars. How do they fit or not fit into your collections? Do you consider them equivalent to the other cars? Is any one of them your favorite car? Has it really been impossible to find one that you really wanted? What's your favorite lucky story about finding one?

Some issues can be addressed up front. We are very sorry about those cars not available on the site. This was due to contractual issues with the teams Chevron could not avoid. Despite the protests from some about this, others have been thrilled about finding cars celebrating their favorite sports teams. Many have also asked for cars to be made in the name of specific teams. There will in fact be 6 new team cars this year. It is a complex process to make a team car, however. Clearly the number of teams that will be involved will always be very limited. Many of you will be disappointed. For that, we sincerely apologize.

We welcome your thoughts and suggestions about these cars and what they might mean to you and fellow collectors.

Rare Chevron Cars Christmas Ornaments on eBay

For the first time ever, Chevron is making a limited number of Chevron Car ornaments available for fans and collectors. These ornaments are ONLY available on eBay.

All proceeds from ornament sales go to Safe Kids Worldwide which is a global network of organizations whose mission is to reduce preventable childhood injury, a leading killer of children 14 and under. These grassroots efforts bring together health and safety experts, educators, corporations, foundations, governments, and volunteers to educate and protect families. Safe Kids' work has contributed to a 45 percent decrease in the U.S. accidental childhood injury death rate since 1987.

Only a few hundred of these 2007 and 2008 ornaments were ever made (as executive gifts, much like the Gold Dusty cars). They were never sold previously, and are not available at any retail location. Each ornament was individually blown and painted by hand in Europe. The ornaments are produced by Landmark Creations and come in their famous red box. The 2007 edition (top) uses the red icon car, and the 2008 one (bottom) uses a blue car. Each ornament is approximately 4.5 by 4 inches in size (the blue one) and 4 by 4 inches (the red one).

Ornaments will be offered on eBay for auction until all ornaments are sold. Ornaments are currently being sold in 3-day auctions. Ornaments will be shipped via UPS within 48 business hours of an auction's closing. Ornaments are NOT available in the regular Chevron Cars store. This is a rare opportunity to add something special to your collection and support a good cause.

A much anticipated brand new car has just joined the Chevron Cars family. Meet Moe Muscle, a stylish new car with good looks, power, grace and lots of style! Always pumped and ready for action, he is a fan of physical fitness, has a healthy outlook and meets challenges with glee. We love that Moe is always in Moe-tion and can often be found running laps around the exercise track.

Besides being a cool Chevron Car, Moe is also very down-to-earth. "Being cool isn't just about power and speed," Moe remarks, "it's about believing in yourself and playing on your strengths to turn any challenge into a winning performance." What a great attitude!

Petrica's Drawing

Petrica sent in this excellent drawing of the Chevron Cars. Petrica is almost seven years old and has loved the Chevron Cars since discovering them in 2006. His little brother, Sandu likes them too. Drawing cars is one of Petrica's favorite things to do. He likes it so much that he hopes to be a car designer some day. That is an admirable goal, Petrica!

Jake's Exciting CCars Adventure

With his Frankie 4 Wheeler hooked up to his CC Boat N Trailer, Jake visited his cousin's house over the Labor Day weekend and experienced quite an adventure with his Chevron Cars.

Jake took his cars down to a nearby brook and placed his CC Boat on the water. He decided to let his boat float with the current, but not without proper protection--his brother, Drew, was going to stand on a rock to catch the boat if it were to go out too far.

Jake shares the rest of his captivating story:

"So I tried it and right when I put him in the water, I rushed my brother to the rock where he was supposed to catch CC Boat. But the current was very fast there, and Drew wasn't able to catch him! I couldn't go after him, so I watched him float away. Drew got our dad and he saved CC Boat!"

Hooray! It turns out that after capsizing, the boat caught onto a rock with a bunch of floating leaves that were almost the same color as the boat's underside.

Jake remarks, "My dad was lucky to have noticed him!"

Great work! We're relieved you didn't lose your CC Boat!

Jake finishes with:

Our active Chevron Cars Blog fan, Frankie, has expanded his 35-car collection since we met him back in 2006. Three years later, Frankie now owns a whopping 53 Chevron Cars, which he calls his "MEGA" collection. Frankie writes us:

"I've been working my way upwards since 2004, now it's 2009, & this collection is almost complete! I just need to find Davey Driver, Taylor Taxi, Hope 01, 02 & 03. That's going to make my awesome collection complete!"

New Game: Pinball Party

We are delighted to bring you another new game at ChevronCars.com! This one dates back to the days when pinball arcades dotted America.

Pinball Party is an online version of the classic pinball arcade game, featuring your favorite Chevron Cars. 2 New Victor E. Vans Launched

The final two new Victor E. Vans for 2008 have been launched. Victor E. Van Gonzaga University celebrates the Gonzaga Bulldogs Basketball team based in Spokane, Washington. This 100 year-old West Coast Conference college team has reached numerous NCAA Division I basketball tournaments in recent years. The Gonzaga Victor E. Van is available in limited quantities in our online store.

A second Utah Jazz Victor E. Van in honor of the successful professional basketball team based in Salt Lake City has also been released. Unfortunately, as with all professional sports team Victor E. Vans, it is NOT available on our website. However, on the Jazz Victor E. Van page we have a handy station finder which lists the Chevron stations in Utah and Idaho which have ordered the car and may have it in stock. We suggest calling them to check on availability.

Best of all, we look forward to the launch of Fuller Fire Truck, a brand new Chevron Car on November 17th. Fans and collectors have long demanded a fire truck, and we are happy to oblige. Stay tuned for more as the big day approaches!
